Public Information Meeting scheduled for Mid-States Corridor

Draft Purpose and Need, Draft Preliminary Alternatives to be shared for Section 2.

JASPER, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and the Mid-States Corridor project team will host a public information meeting on Wednesday, April 16, to share the draft purpose and need statement, as well as draft preliminary alternatives and access options for the Mid-States Corridor Section 2 study in Dubois County.

The meeting will take place at Jasper Middle School (3600 North Portersville Road, Jasper, IN) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Members of the public can view displays, talk individually with project team members, and view a recorded presentation.  Because this is a public information meeting and not a formal hearing, oral comments will not be recorded. Comment forms will be available at the meeting and on the project website. Comments may also be shared by calling or visiting the project office. The project team requests comments be submitted by May 12, 2025.

In advance of the meeting, the draft Section 2 purpose and need statement and draft preliminary alternatives will be available for viewing at the project office. Documents can also be found on the project website.

For those unable to attend the in-person meeting, all materials will be available online the following day. Materials will also be available at the Jasper and Huntingburg public libraries and the project office located on the Jasper campus of Vincennes University (850 College Ave., Jasper, IN). Office hours are every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
